Fungal Infections sometimes known as Mycosis.

There are many different fungi that can infect the foot. They can be found on the skin and/or the nail.

There are some good anti-fungal treatments available over the counter at any pharmacy. There are others which need to be provided by prescription or by your Podiatrist.

Fungal infections can cause itching, redness, peeling skin and weeping blisters.

They are also a cause of thick, discoloured, crumbly nails.
